An Easier Way to Get Straight Teeth

Traditional braces can often be a struggle. Between the regular orthodontic appointments and the wires and brackets that make life harder, we understand why you wouldn’t want to take this big leap. However, with Invisalign, you can get a straighter, more beautiful smile without the struggle.

The Invisalign Process

The Invisalign system has straightened millions of smiles and the process is rather simple. First, you’ll come in to see us for a consultation. During this initial meeting, we’ll discuss your smile goals and your history. Then, we’ll complete a comprehensive exam of your teeth and gums, taking x-rays and digital photographs. If we decide that you’re a candidate for Invisalign, then we’ll begin treatment.

To start, we will take scans and photos of your teeth to create 3D images on our computer system. With this technology, you can see what your smile will look like after your Invisalign treatment.

Then, we’ll create your aligners for you. When your aligners are ready, we will send you home with the entire treatment plan. That means that you don’t have to see us every few weeks for adjustments – you can go on living your life and only see us when you need us!

During the treatment, you will change out your aligners every two weeks. During the first day or two of your new aligners, you will notice a bit of discomfort but that just means that the aligners are doing their job. Once you’ve gone through all your aligners, your smile will be straight, even, and beautiful.

A Candidate for Invisalign

If you have crooked, uneven, or misaligned teeth, then you may be a candidate for Invisalign. In fact, Invisalign works in a very similar way to traditional orthodontic care. By providing pressure in specific areas, the aligners guide your teeth into the proper position. This is the same effect that you would get from wires and brackets, but invisible braces make the process more discreet.

In certain situations, invisible braces might not work for you. For example, if you experience a severe underbite or overbite, you may need traditional braces in order to improve your jaw function.

However, you won’t know the best plan until you see a dental professional. If you’re hesitant about braces due to their appearance and discomfort, then come see us about invisible aligners. We can discuss your options and find the best solution for you and your smile.
