Dental Cleanings & Exams

The best way to care for your smile is to prevent damage in the first place. When you visit us every six months for routine dental care, we can help you keep your smile bright and brilliant. During our dental cleanings and exams, we will clear away all plaque and bacteria. Then, we’ll strengthen your enamel with fluoride treatment before sending you on your way.

We examine your mouth during every visit, looking for signs of gum disease, tooth decay, and oral cancer. If we find any signs of gum disease, we will treat your smile right away to prevent further complications. On the other hand, if we find signs of oral cancer, we will send samples for testing immediately. As for tooth decay, we can treat your smile with dental fillings or other dental procedures to keep you healthy.

Treating Cavities

If you experience tooth decay, we will treat your cavities in our office using the least invasive methods possible. Depending on the level of decay we see, we will offer dental fillings, root canals, or even extractions.

A dental filling is minimally invasive. For this procedure, we would clear out the decay and fill in the space with a tooth-colored composite mixture. For more advanced damage or decay, we may recommend a root canal. The root canal procedure clears away decay down to the tooth’s root. We can do a root canal to save your natural tooth’s root structure and then fit you with a dental crown to retain function.

However, tooth extractions are sometimes necessary. If you need an extraction, don’t worry. With modern technology, extractions are easy and painless. Plus, new tooth replacement options look and feel like natural teeth.

“Today was my first visit at Dr. Rosen’s office. The staff and dentist were absolutely amazing. I had a bad experience at my last dentist, which caused me to not search for a new dentist until I ended up in pain. This dentist took all of my anxieties away immediately. The staff were compassionate, listened and answered questions without feeling rushed. I am so glad to finally find a great place like this.”
