Your Treatment Plan

When you visit Dr. Goodling and Dr. Rosen, you are in good hands with the most advanced dental technology to treat sleep apnea. We will do everything we can to help you feel better and get your sleep back on track. Additionally, we are proud to be the only dental office in Delaware accredited by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and will gladly share our expertise to improve the lives of our patients.

First, Dr. Goodling and Dr. Rosen will examine your nose, mouth, and throat thoroughly for any misalignment. Using our advanced technology, we can take images and x-rays to see every part of your airways to determine whether or not you experience obstruction. If you do, then we will recommend an oral appliance to help you sleep soundly.

SomnoMed® Oral Appliances

If we diagnose you with sleep apnea, then we will move forward with treatment. Instead of using a big, bulky, and noisy CPAP machine, we happily offer the SomnoMed® custom oral appliance. This oral appliance is comfortable and slender while gently repositioning your jaw to open your airways.

When you wear your new oral appliance, the appliance will slightly shift your jaw forward. This, in turn, opens your airways and allows for airflow throughout the night. In a short time, you will feel energetic and alive once again.

A Continuum of Care

Since Dr. Goodling and Dr. Rosen commit their practice to helping others, your treatment doesn’t end when you leave our office. Our friendly staff is always here to help you, whatever your needs might be. In fact, our office, even conducts in-house sleep studies to develop sleep apnea research and continue improving the lives of our patients.

Say Goodbye to Sleep Apnea Symptoms

Sleep apnea is a sleeping disorder in which something obstructs your airway while you’re sleeping. When you stop breathing for brief moments, your brain then wakes up to remedy the situation. The lack of oxygen and restfulness cause a host of problems for your body.

With oral appliance therapy, you can say goodbye to the symptoms that were giving you grief. For example, you will no longer face daily grogginess or daytime fatigue. Additionally, your irritability and mood swings will likely decrease with better sleep.

With oral appliance therapy, you also won’t have to worry about more serious effects of sleep apnea. These include cardiovascular problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke.

Finally, you’ll be able to live your life with excitement and ease yet again. You’ll wake up in the mornings feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep. Then, you can conquer your day with more energy than ever before.
